Viking Saddlery was founded in 1995 by Johan and Andrea initially in Buckfastleigh but now we are located between Moretonhampstead and Bovey Tracey.
We are a small family run business that caters for a wide variety of commissions from customers and companies in the local area, nationally and internationally.
Being small makes us very flexible and we can adapt ourselves to various skill set within the leatherwork and related industries.
JOHAN ULVEDE
Johan Ulvede
With a background in building engineering, Johan worked as a welder and carpenter in Sweden.
Changing direction he retrained as a saddler at Cordwainers College in London.
Currently he specialises mainly in side saddle work and commissions.
ANDREA ULVEDE
Andrea has worked mainly with racehorses for much of her life and understands the needs of the horse and rider.
She also retrained as a saddler at Cordwainers College in London
Andrea undertakes much of the hand stitching and saddle flocking

Johan tends to specialise in the side saddle work including tree repairs, refurbishments and panel making
Andrea carries out full reflocks and top ups. She also does the hand seaming of the seats on the side saddles
